Element manufacturing in Winterthur
BWT Holzbau is a timber-construction company in Winterthur with fully automated element manufacturing for walls, ceilings and roofs. At its core sits a Weinmann multi-function plant with six tables, complemented by a separate line for electrical inserts and the insulation area. The isofloc system — multi-function bridge, blow-out panel, large-bale opener and easyfloc Protect — is fully integrated into the production flow.
Production runs paperless straight from the 3D model. While the multi-function bridge is blowing, the same operator can prepare the next electrical inserts or load a fresh large bale into the opener. Compared with crane and blow-out panel, this yields around 20 % more efficiency. The hall is equipped with three overhead cranes, two of them dedicated to flat-bed loading at 4×5 t.
